Progressing your sale

Many people consider an estate agents’ job is largely done once you have agreed a sale. On the contrary, a great deal of effort is required in order to progress a sale through to exchange of contracts and completion, and this is usually the most stressful part of the process and one where good communication between the buyer, seller, solicitors and other agents in the chain (where a chain is involved) is imperative because, once you start paying for surveys, solicitor’s fees and searches, a sale that falls apart is a horrible waste of time and money.

Effective sales progression management and good solicitors are key to a successful move.

Alison in our Mayfield office and Jemima in our Wadhurst office, will keep you informed of exactly what is happening, what has happened and what is still left to be done on a weekly basis. This alleviates a lot of the stress that comes with selling a house.

By focusing on progressions, our “fall through rate” is very low.

Sadly, many agents tend to overlook this essential part of a sale, as they are more concerned with marketing the next property.
