Hadlow Down is a small rural village located between Buxted and Five Ashes, in the triangle between the larger towns of Heathfield, Uckfield and Crowborough.

There is a village hall, Victorian Church, a “good” primary school (Ofsted 2018), playing field, pub, an annual steam engine rally, and Wilderness Wood, which is lovely for walking and hosts a number of attractions from arts and craft classes to forest schools for kids.
Heathfield (4 miles), Uckfield (5.2 miles) and Crowborough (5.2 miles) all offer a wide range of shopping and leisure facilities including supermarkets.
Hadlow Down falls within the High Weald Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and there are many footpaths and bridleways in and around the village taking you out into the surrounding undulating countryside.
The nearest station is at Buxted (2.5 miles), although the majority of the London services involve a change at Hurst Green (Buxted to London Victoria via Hurst Green taking approximately 1hr28minutes), although there are occasional direct services to London Bridge in about 1hr 16minutes. Uckfield station (5.2 miles) has direct services to London Bridge in about 1hr20mins.
