Launched this year, the Cheese Train will be running each month until October 19. Each table is presented with a selection box containing four different cheeses, accompanied by chutney and crackers. A small bottle of wine or alternative drink is also included in the ticket price of £37 per person.
The journey takes you through the beautiful High Weald countryside, with four stops including Eridge Railway Station. This makes it convenient for passengers arriving from London stations. The tickets are valid for train travel all day, allowing you to fully immerse in the charm of steam rides.
The cheese selection is a delightful showcase of local produce. Winterdale Shaw from Winterdale Cheesemakers, Kentish Blue from Kingcott Dairy, Sussex Brie, and Mayfield from Alsop & Walker. Each cheese offers a unique taste, from the smooth and buttery Winterdale Shaw to the sweet, nutty and creamy Mayfield.
The Cheese Shop in Tunbridge Wells, known for its high-quality British and European cheeses, is a key partner in this venture. They offer a wide selection of cheeses from Kent and Sussex cheesemakers.
By supporting Spa Valley Railway, you're also helping this heritage attraction "survive into the future". They've launched an "emergency fundraising campaign" to raise £300,000 to replace the Broom Lane Bridge on its line.
Spa Valley Railway, a five-mile heritage railway, is the biggest tourist attraction in Tunbridge Wells, attracting more than 85,000 visitors each year.
So, why not make your next journey a cheesy one? Enjoy the scenic beauty of Kent while savouring local cheeses and wine. And remember, when it comes to finding your dream home in this beautiful region, we at Burnett's are always here to help.
